Costa Maya Mahahual

Costa Maya is a stretch of Caribbean coast in the east of the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. The town of Mahahual is known as a popular cruise port, with beaches and coral reefs. Offshore, the reefs and mangroves of the Banco Chinchorro Biosphere Reserve are inhabited by sharks, dolphins and turtles. To the north, the Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve is home to jaguars, monkeys and hundreds of species of birds.
