Yaxunah was an important ancient Mayan city just 25 kilometers from Chichen Itza. The neglect and abandonment of the area makes you think that it was a place of little transcendence, something far from reality.

Within the territory of Mexico there are Mayan zones of payment and others of non payment. The Mayan vestige of Yaxunah is free access: a dirt road leads you to this beautiful area that lives under the carelessness and voracious appetite of nature that almost everything is eaten.

• Yaxunah is 20 km from Piste, a town near Chichen Itza. Leaving Piste direction Mérida then you see the deviation to your left.
• Cost entrance: no cost, no services.
• How to get there by public transport? Yaxunah arrives on public transport from Piste. The collective leaves you on the road and you must walk to the archaeological zone a short kilometer.
• It is recommended to wear clear and light clothes, hat, insect repellent, shoes closed better to protect you from insects and other bugs. Always carry some water.
