Belize is famous for its beautiful Caribbean coast, with Blue Hole as its most striking postcard. The interior of this amazing country retains some of the most fascinating ancient Mayan cities. Lamanai is one of the great cities of these lowland Maya.
- The jetties to Lamanai are located at Tower Hill Toll Bridge, about 3 miles from the Orange Walk. At the piers there are several companies that offer excursions. The crossing to go by car is located a little earlier. About 20 km. Slow driving.
- Entry fee: USD 40 per person (includes transportation by boat, food, entrance fees to the museum and the ruins).
- How to get there by public transport? Getting in public transport and walking a stretch can, but it is complicated. Better to arrive by boat or by private vehicle.
- Light and light clothing, hat, insect repellent, sunscreen, closed shoes and water are recommended.
