The thick jungle of the Peten has preserved one of the most imposing ancient Maya cities, the colossal Caracol. In addition to discovering the splendor of this city, you will live an adventure touring different landscapes in an extraordinary way.

• Caracol is located about 60 km to the interior jungle from the highway Belmopan – San Ignacio. Take the detour from the Western Highway, it is more than three hours drive to the entrance to the archaeological site. You must leave early, 6.30 is good time, San Ignacio or where you are staying. You must register at the army checkpoint. You’ll see it on the way.
• How to get there by public transport? There is no public transportation. You must arrive on an excursion with an agency or private vehicle.
