Chiapas boasts of diverse and impressive natural sites, difficult to stay with a specific corner. The Canyon of the Sumidero is one of these corners where to enjoy the overwhelming nature of this state.

• The Sumidero Canyon is located 5 km from Tuxla Gutierrez.
  Jetties: in Chiapa de Corzo (declared Pueblo Magico de México) and in Cahuare (closest to Tuxla and offers shorter excursions). The boats are 12 to 15 people.
• Cost: 200 MXN per person.
• How to get there by public transport? From Tuxla Gutiérrez there are combis towards Chiapa de Corzo and Cahuare.
• From San Cristóbal de las Casas you have to take the bus to Tuxla and stop at the bridge (the driver knows), where you cross and take another bus to Chiapa de Corzo.
• The road and its viewpoints: there are 5 viewpoints. The first is located 23 km from Tuxtla, La Ceiba. Then follow La Coyota, El Tepehuaje, El Roblar and Los Chiapa, which is the highest and has a restaurant.
• It is recommended to bring sunscreen and a hat and glasses to protect you from the sun. It is possible that in the boat you get a little wet, so comfortable and light clothes.
