If you know this place, you know Don Luis and Doña Paty, the managers of this magical and fun establishment. Formed 8 years ago and built with wood from the Noc Ben region, it is one of the most picturesque palapas in Mahahual.

Wooden bar and surrounded by swings makes you live a beautiful and romantic experience with your friends, family or partner, the soft lights and pleasant music make this place a different and enjoyable attraction isolated from the hubbub of the center.

Let’s talk a little about the gastronomy of this place, Don Luis with a trajectory of more than 10 years preparing dishes of international stature always surprises us with his Caribbean, spicy flavors and an unmistakable flavor. Their specialty, butter lobster and tikin xic-style fish make Lunas bar and don luis one of the busiest places and people in the region.

All the seafood that is consumed in this restaurant comes from Banco Chinchorro, a magical place that we will talk about in another post, and many of them are sold to Don Luis by local fishermen, lobster, octopus, fish and snail, some are still brought alive by the fishermen.

As a personal opinion, it is a fairly complete place with many things to do and fully enjoy the day and night, ride in transparent kayakas, breakfasts on the beach, karaoke, dance and sing with your partner, even sleeping in your area of camping, waking up to the song of the waves is a unique experience.

La fiesta y diversion

Dance, karaoke, beer, tequila, mezcal, mojitos, margaritas are the perfect combination to make new friends and live an unforgettable night. If you have the opportunity, ask Don Luis or Doña Paty to prepare a special mojito (pitaya, mango or strawberry) or one of their special mezcals brought directly from Oaxaca.

For the third time I visit this amazing place, I stayed in tulum and it is only 20 minutes away, I recommend going during the week arriving at 8 am to be able to enjoy all the attractions.

When making your reservation online ask for your Mexican discount

Another recommendation that I always give is to have a light breakfast and go to the drinks area for banana and apple since you will need a lot of energy to enjoy it to the fullest.

Be very careful in the amphibious cars when entering underground caves as it becomes a bit dangerous if you do not go down carefully

Playa del Carmen, is one of the preferred destinations to vacation especially in the summer, according to Trip Advisor, since it is idyllic place located in the heart of the Riviera Maya with fine white sand and blue-green waters, you will always find a hammock and an umbrella for sunbathing and resting, especially at the ends of the town offering the quietest beach areas.

If you prefer the action, in Playa del Carmen you will find aquatic activities such as windsurfing, jet skis, kayaking or diving in the impressive Mayan coral reef. The great musicians of Mexican and international jazz offer concerts every year. The beauty of the beaches and the many activities that Playa del Carmen has for you, will force you to return.

The fifth avenue of Playa del Carmen, or simply La Quinta, is the heart of the city and one of the first mandatory tours for visitors.

The fifth, is a pedestrian street that runs parallel and very close to the beach where there is a HUGE amount of restaurants, spas, shops, cafes, boutiques, jewelers, ice cream parlors, art galleries, crafts and souvenirs, for all the tastes and budgets.

Mahahual costa Maya

Mahahual

Mahahual is a beautiful and natural place on the beaches of Quintana Roo, it is a beach not yet so popular for tourism and with beautiful waters, the important thing of mahahual is that it still preserves the naturalness of a virgin beach.

If you are going to eat in the palapas that are on the beach, I recommend paying close attention to the prices of the food since the people there are very abusive in the prices, for example, a fried fish you can Sell up to $ 300 pesos depending on the weight of the piece.

It is customary for all locals and positions openly offer you some drugs (marijuana) or other things, be careful with these people because they can also be vicious and to some extent intimidating.

The activity of main importance is the swim with turtles, do not miss the next video “Swimming with turtles in Mahahual” is an unforgettable experience.

Merida, the vibrant capital of the Mexican state of Yucatan, has a rich Maya and colonial heritage. The focal point of the city is the Plaza de la Independencia, surrounded by the fortress of the Cathedral of Merida and the white limestone church of the Third Order, both colonial churches built with relics of ancient Mayan temples. Casa de Montejo, a 16th century mansion, is a landmark of plateresque colonial architecture.
